Made by group of friends/colleagues.
Often contains nerdy 'postmodern' humour.
Most set around a familiar, local setting.
Lots should happen in a short space of time - Finds a good narrative balance.
Professional looking camerawork/editing - Close ups, range of shots.
Establishing shots early on - Get on with it!
Have clear, distinctive characters.
Should have a baseline story that is apparent every episode.
Must have stories that are incomplete so next episode story carries on.
